Welcome to The Renaissance Choir. We are a chamber choir of around 34 singers based in Hampshire / West Sussex. We rehearse in Emsworth, perform at beautiful venues in and around Portsmouth and Petersfield, and go on tour every year to Europe and the UK. We specialise in Renaissance choral music but we also enjoying singing more contemporary choral works from composers such as Whitacre, Lauridsen, Rutter and Poulenc. We mostly sing a cappella.
We perform several concerts a year locally and have sung at many prestigious venues in the UK and abroad, including in Italy, France, Holland, Hungary, Portugal and Poland. We have a high reputation for our sublime sound and adventurous repertoire.
“From passion to peace in moments – a glorious sound”
“One of the finest amateur choirs in the UK”
