This year we are performing on two consecutive nights. Although some of the Christmas motets and carols may not be so well known, there will be plenty of audience participation!

Music will include a new commission from us to James Dunlop, our Composer in Residence, of “O Magnum Mysterium”. Our MD Peter has edited a piece from a transcription of a 16th century Flemish organum, as well as some Renaissance pieces by Gallus, Scarlatti and Verdelot. We will be including a number of arrangements by David Willcocks, to pay tribute to a man who had such a profound influence on choral music. We will also be singing music from Bob Chilcott, Paul Edwards and Malcolm Williamson. We will round off with some old favourites.

We are performing in St Mary’s Church, Hayling Island on 11 December and repeating the programme in St Faith’s Church, Havant on 12 December.
