The Southampton Choral Society with Southern Pro Musica and guest conductor Brian Kay will perform of Elgar’s glorious oratorio, The Dream of Gerontius in Winchester Cathedral at 19.30 on Saturday 14 November. Members of the Renaissance Choir will be providing the semi-chorus.

Brian Kay is well known as a distinguished musician and broadcaster. He is currently in his 21st year as conductor and musical director of the famous Leith Hill Musical Festival, started by Ralph Vaughan Williams over a century ago. He is also Principal Conductor of The Burford Singers and of The Really Big Chorus, with which he will once again conduct the 42nd annual, one and only, 4000-voice Messiah From Scratch® at the Royal Albert Hall on Advent Sunday, later this year.
