If you’re looking to join an accomplished chamber choir in Hampshire or West Sussex that performs in beautiful venues across the UK and Europe, then the Renaissance Choir could be for you!

We are currently recruiting tenors (autumn 2023).

The Renaissance Choir is a friendly and enthusiastic chamber choir with around 34 singers that seeks to achieve high standards. Being able to read music helps (but isn’t essential).

We perform better and lesser-known choral works from all eras in up to five concerts a year. There are around seven or eight rehearsals that precede each concert on Friday evenings. Rehearsals run from 7.30 to 9.30 pm at the Emsworth Community Association, Emsworth, Hampshire, PO10 7DF, a two-minute walk from Emsworth train station and on the 700 bus route. We often round off rehearsals with a drink at a nearby pub.

We encourage singers to attend as many rehearsals as possible and to be prepared to put in additional time at home for note learning. We also supply midi files, which are audio recordings that help members to learn the current repertoire.

We also go on tour within the UK and to Continental Europe most years.
